Our Certifications:

NICEIC provides inspection, assessment and certification services to contractors working with electrical installations in private dwellings. It was authorised by the Department for Communities and Local Government (formerly the ODPM) to deliver a competent persons scheme to enable contractors to self certify domestic electrical work under Part P of the building regulations. NICEIC’s core principle is to operate a straightforward certification scheme that provides a friendly and easy to use service. Approved contractors on the NICEIC scheme enjoy the benefits of being with a scheme that is run by electricians for the electrical trade. Owned by the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA), the premier trade association that has represented the electrical industry for over 100 years, today there are more than 3,700 contractors registered with NICEIC, notifying approximately 500 jobs per week.
PART P:
It is expected that bringing electrical work in dwellings under building regulations control will reduce the number of deaths, injuries and fires caused by faults in electrical installations. It is expected that nationally Part P will lead to an improvement in the competence of electrical contractors and to an improvement in the overall quality of electrical work.

City & Guilds is the UKs leading awarding body, offering more than 500 qualifications across 28 industry sectors.
